Golden Triangle Heritage Tour
6 Days / 5 NightsHeritage & Monuments

Overview
The Golden Triangle Heritage Tour is India's most iconic 6-day circuit, linking the capital Delhi, the Mughal city of Agra and the Pink City of Jaipur. In Delhi, walk through the Mughal grandeur of Red Fort and Jama Masjid, the Qutub Minar's ancient minaret, and the serene Lotus Temple and Humayun's Tomb. Agra brings the unmissable sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, alongside the sandstone ramparts of Agra Fort and a stop at the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri en route to Jaipur. In Jaipur, explore the hilltop Amber Fort, the ornate City Palace, the iconic facade of Hawa Mahal and the astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar. With English-speaking guides in every city and a private AC vehicle for the full circuit, this tour is the classic first-time introduction to India's history and architecture.

Itinerary
On arrival in Delhi, our representative will meet you at the airport or railway station and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in and some rest, set out in the afternoon to visit Humayun's Tomb, a magnificent Mughal-era mausoleum and UNESCO World Heritage Site that inspired the design of the Taj Mahal. On the drive back, pass by India Gate, the 42-metre war memorial arch, and the surrounding government buildings of Rajpath for a photo stop. Return to the hotel for dinner and rest, ahead of a full day of Delhi sightseeing tomorrow.
Spend the day exploring Old and New Delhi. Begin with the Red Fort, the imposing red-sandstone Mughal fortress that once housed the imperial court, followed by the Jama Masjid nearby, one of India's largest mosques, with its towering minarets and vast courtyard. Take a short rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, sampling street food if you wish. In the afternoon, visit the Qutub Minar, a soaring 73-metre minaret dating to the 12th century, and end the day at the serene Lotus Temple, a Bahai house of worship shaped like a blooming lotus, ideal for quiet reflection. Return to the hotel for dinner.
Check out after breakfast and drive approximately 3-4 hours to Agra. En route, stop for refreshments at a highway restaurant. On arrival, check in to your hotel, then visit Agra Fort, a massive red-sandstone Mughal fortress on the banks of the Yamuna, from where Emperor Shah Jahan is said to have gazed at the Taj Mahal during his final years of imprisonment by his son. Spend the evening at leisure exploring Agra's local market for marble handicrafts and Mughal-inspired souvenirs, before dinner and overnight stay.
Rise early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, when the marble mausoleum glows in soft morning light and crowds are thinnest - widely considered the best time to experience this Wonder of the World. After breakfast, check out and drive toward Jaipur, stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri, the beautifully preserved abandoned Mughal city built by Emperor Akbar, including the Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid. Continue the drive to Jaipur, arriving by evening, check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner at leisure.
Start the day with a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort, approached by jeep or on foot up the hillside, showcasing a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture including the ornate Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace). Continue into the city to see the City Palace complex, still partly home to Jaipur's royal family, followed by Hawa Mahal, the iconic honeycomb-fronted "Palace of Winds", viewed from outside or explored within. Round off the day at Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory with giant stone instruments. Spend the evening shopping in Jaipur's bazaars for textiles, gemstones and blue pottery.
Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast at your Jaipur hotel. Depending on your departure time, use any remaining hours for last-minute shopping or a visit to a smaller sight such as Jal Mahal (viewed from the lakeside) or Albert Hall Museum. Check out at the designated time and our vehicle will transfer you to Jaipur airport or railway station for your onward journey, concluding your tour of India's most iconic heritage circuit.
