Itinerary

Arrive at Bhuntar (Kullu) Airport or Manali bus stand, where our driver will receive you and transfer you to your hotel through the scenic Kullu Valley, with the Beas river running alongside the road. After check-in, spend the evening exploring Mall Road, Manali's main shopping and dining strip lined with woollen garment shops, cafes and restaurants serving both Himachali and continental cuisine. Pick up a warm shawl or cap if needed for the colder days ahead, and settle in with a hot cup of local apple cider or Kahwa tea before dinner at the hotel.

After an early breakfast, drive roughly 13 km up to Solang Valley, a wide green meadow (snow-covered in winter) surrounded by mountains, popular for its cable car ride offering panoramic Himalayan views. Depending on the season, you can opt for skiing, snow scooters, zorbing or paragliding directly at the valley (activity charges payable locally). Spend the day soaking in mountain air and photo opportunities before returning to Manali by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel, with the option to relax at the in-house spa or simply enjoy the mountain views from your room balcony.

Today covers Manali's key local sights. Start at the Hadimba Devi Temple, a striking wooden cave shrine set inside a cedar forest, dedicated to the wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata. Continue to Old Manali, across the river, known for its narrow lanes, backpacker cafes and relaxed vibe distinct from the main town. In the afternoon, drive to Vashisht village to experience its natural hot water springs, believed to have healing properties, and visit the ancient Vashisht Temple nearby. Return to Manali by evening for dinner and a free evening to explore any remaining shops on Mall Road.

Set off on a day trip to Kasol, roughly 2.5-3 hours from Manali through the scenic Parvati Valley, known for its dense forests and the roaring Parvati river. Spend time at Kasol's riverside German-bakery cafes, popular with backpackers and known for their relaxed, alternative atmosphere. Continue a short distance to Manikaran Sahib, a revered Sikh gurudwara and Hindu temple complex built around natural hot springs, where the water is hot enough to cook langar (community meal) offerings. Return to Manali by evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Weather and road conditions permitting, set off early for an excursion toward Rohtang Pass via the Atal Tunnel, the world's longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet, which cuts travel time to the Lahaul valley dramatically. Enjoy snow point stops, dramatic glacier and valley views, and photo opportunities along the way (permits arranged in advance where required). In case of closures, an alternate excursion to Solang or Kothi/Gulaba snow points is arranged instead. Return to Manali by evening for a farewell dinner, reflecting on the week's mountain adventures.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel at the designated time. Depending on your onward travel schedule, use any remaining time for last-minute shopping on Mall Road for Himachali shawls, dry fruits or local wines. Our AC vehicle will then transfer you to Manali bus stand or Bhuntar (Kullu) Airport for your onward journey, concluding a refreshing week amid the mountains, valleys and villages of Himachal Pradesh.
